Kareena Kapoor Golden-Bronzed Makeup Look from Don

It has been such a long time since I've created a post, but here is a look that I've been dying to share with you that I had read about in a filmfare magazine. Kareena Kapoor's golden-bronze makeup look from the movie Don is just beautiful. She's using a lot of the makeup line Red Earth's products.

Here are the very same beauty products that she used in this song sequence.

For the Face:

1. Apply Red Earth's Secret Potion over the entire face as a primer to help minimize imperfections and even out the skin tone.

2. Use Red Earth's Endless Summer Bronzing Compact in Golden Desert to contour the cheekbones.
3. To add colour to the cheeks, apply over top of the bronzer, Maybelline's Expert Wear Blush in Brown 58.

For the Eyes:

1. Using Red Earth's Trio Contrast Eye Shadows in GR0353 (Brown Beige), use the medium shade all over the lid. Blend the darkest shade onto and just above the crease in windshield wiper motions. Apply the lightest shade in the palette to the brow bone and the inner corners of the eye (tear duct).

2. Use a smokey eye pencil such as Red Earth Magic Line Kohl Eye Liner Pencil on both the upper lid and the lower water line.

3. Optional: For added drama, Kareena used Red Earth's Sun Rays False Eye Lashes.

For the Lips:
Kareena lined her lips with L'Oreal Contour Parfait lip liner and then added L'Oreal Glam Shine in Coral Strass for high shine.

Smokey Eyes & Nude Lips

Priyanka Chopra sported a low maintenance makeup look in her film Dostana. She paired smokey gray liner with nude lips to create a very fresh look.

Here are a few products that you could use in order to recreate this makeup look:

On the eyes:

1. On lid, use a medium brown eyeshadow such as MAC's Cork up to the crease.

2. Then use MAC's Mineral e/s to define the crease.

3. Smudge a bit of Mineral on the lower lash line

4. Use a gray liner or eyeshadow on the upper & lower lash line, such as MAC's Print eyeshadow or MAC's Technakohl liner in Greyprint and smoke it out using a cutip or a makeup brush.

5. Follow by 2 coats of thickening mascara on upper and lower lashes.

On the face: Instead of a blush, use a bronzer on cheeks to give definition and a glow. To get a similar look like Priyanka's, use MAC's bronzer in Golden.

On the lips:

1. MAC's Stripdown lip liner to fill in lips.

2. MAC's lipstick in Velvet Teddy (for Satin Finish) OR MAC's Fresh Brew Lipstick for a more sheer finish.

Waterproof Makeup

What would a bollywood film be like without the ever popular rain sequence? More importantly, how do bollywood makeup artists keep the new breed of actresses looking camera-ready, especially when dealing with high temperatures (which leads to perspiration) and water?

Traditionally, waterproof makeup has ingredients such as silicone or dimethicone copolyol, which help the makeup adhere to the face. This requires you to use harsher cleansers because normal makeup removers do not work. Using these products once in a while is satisfactory, but on a more regular basis, it could result in the loss of your skin's natural oils which protect you against pollution and sunburn. Fortunately, this season's high-tech beauty trend- waterproof makeup, seems to have overcome this problem.

Here are a few colours that will keep you looking radiant throughout the summer months so that you can hang out at the beach and still look fabulous!

#1: Yves Saint Laurent's Water-Resistant Eye Shadow- 4 beautiful new shades
#2: Cargo Water Resistant Bronzer
#3: Giorgio Armani Lip Wax
#4: Yves Saint Laurent Waterproof Lengthening Mascara

BMW Tip: If you really don't want to go out and buy more waterproof products since, let's face it, the economy isn't doing too well, then you can use a trick used by makeup artists shooting on location. Use milk of magnesia sparingly on a cotton ball and pat all over face- allow it to dry for 30 seconds and then apply all makeup (eye shadow, foundation, blush, etc.) as you would normally. Voila- your makeup is waterproof!

Contouring to Achieve Symmetry

The concept of "ideal beauty" has changed constantly throughout time. However, one belief has remained constant- woman and men who are considered the most beautiful, have been found to have significantly symmetrical facial features.

There are six different face shapes: oval, round, pear, heart, square and long. The oval face shape is considered the perfect shape because of its symmetry.

For those women who do not have an oval face shape, there are many ways that you can create the illusion of a more symmetrical shape- the key is contouring and it's not difficult at all once you get the hang of it.

There are many ways that you can contour your face- using powders, foundations and bronzers. If you want to achieve a more natural look, then use a foundation. However, it's important to know that powder is easier to use. You can always layer powder with MAC's Fix + to achieve a radiant natural look.

Here is a look to try using powders. I will also create a list of beauty products to try in order to achieve this look.

Products Needed:

* Use a foundation and powder that are true to your natural skin colour
* A highlighter powder (or a powder one to two shades lighter than your original skin colour)
such as MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish Powder in Soft and Gentle.
* A bronzing powder without any shimmer (or a powder two shades darker than your original
skin colour) such as Nars Laguna Bronzer (for medium to darker skin tones) and Nars
blush in Deep Throat if you are lighter.

Steps to Contouring Your Face:

1. The easiest way to understand how to contour for any face shape is to imagine an oval shape inside your face.

2. Once you have identified the oval shape, apply bronzer to darken any area "outside" the
oval. Use circular motions to create a natural, streak-free application.

3. Highlight parts of the face that are "inside" the oval (I.e., parts of your cheekbones,
forehead, nose, chin, above the upper lip).

Kareena Kapoor's Contouring:

Notice the contouring to Kareena Kapoor's face. Although Kareena Kapoor does not have an oval face (it's more of a square with a strong jaw line), she is still quite stunning. Therefore, Kareeena has darkened the area outside of her oval. If you notice, she has applied bronzer to the outside perimeter of her face and has highlighted the inside portion to create the illusion of a perfectly symmetrical oval face.

So don't fret about not having model-worthy bone structure. You're beautiful and unique- there's nothing wrong with enhancing your natural beauty with makeup. So have fun with this and I'll try to add a post about face shapes later on this week.

Left: Nars Blush in Deep Throat
Right: Nars Bronzer in Laguna

Freida Pinto's Academy Awards Look

Thanks to her critically-acclaimed role in Slumdog Millionaire, Freida Pinto is both Hollywood and Bollywood's current "It" Girl.

Freida wore Jouer Cosmetics for the Academy Awards and Jouer founder, Christina Zilber even said that Frieda's look was perfect for a formal occasion and said, "the dramatic eye paired with a pale lip creates a fresh and romantic feel."

Here are some products used on Freida to help her achieve this fresh look:

For the face:

1. Apply Jouer's Luminizing Moisture Tint all over the face, followed by the Jouer Age-Repairing Brightener where necessary (around the eyes, nose and the corners of the mouth)

2. Apply Jouer Mineral Face Powder all over face, using a kabuki brush.
Tip: If you use a circular pattern to "buff" the powder all over the face, it creates a luminous effect on your skin.

3. Apply a light pink or peach blush to the apples of the cheeks. A good choice would be MAC's Mineralize Blush in "Dainty".

For the Eyes:

1. Using eyeliner, line the eyes on the upper and lower lashes, using Jouer's Eye Definer in "Noir".

2. Using a large, flat eye brush, apply Jouer's powder eye shadow in "Caviar" (a shimmery navy charcoal shade) to the lid of the eyes.

3. Use Jouer's "Truffle" e/s (a matte platinum grey) on the crease of your eye.

4. Apply Jouer's "Parfait" e/s (deep, shimmery lavender) just below the crease.

5. Apply 2 coats of the blackest mascara.

For the Lips:

1. For the perfectly pale baby pink lip, apply Jouer lipstick in "Amelie".

2. Apply Jouer's lip gloss in "Mist" to add a bit of shimmer.

With just one swipe, the right shade of red lipstick can instantly add glamour, sophistication and sex appeal. For Madhuri Dixit, red lips are perfectly creamy in texture- matte red lipsticks tend to look too harsh.

For Darker Skin Tones:

Choose orange-based reds such as Chanel's Rouge Allure lipstick in Audace.

For Lighter Skin Tones:

Choose blue-based reds such as Bourjois Sweet Kiss in No. 56

Tip: Always fill in lips with a nude pencil before applying red lipstick. Try Benefit's Automatic lip liner in Naked Ambition.

Enhance Your Summer Glow the Right Way!

Gauri Khan, wife of super star Shah Rukh Khan has been a woman I've envied for over fourteen years. Not only is she married to one of the hottest men in Bollywood (just breathe), she's also one of India's fashion icons. Gauri Khan is not afraid to make a statement.
At last year's 53rd Annual Filmfare Awards, Gauri wore a breath-taking silver Versace number. However, as gorgeous as her dress was, you couldn't help but be distracted by her unnatural, orangey fake tan. Not to mention, the Barbie doll pink lipstick and lack of eye makeup only made her look older than she is. I understand the look Gauri was going for, but unfortunately, this look didn't come together in the end.

If you want to make your tan stand out, there are more options rather than just wearing white. For instance, MAC's eye shadow in Of Summer is a translucent purple pastel shade that creates a fresh, natural glow.
For the lips, Gauri could have worn a sheer, icy pink gloss such as Yes to Carrots lip gloss in
Flirty Pink. This would create a more natural and fresh makeup look.

I love Gauri's choice of pink blush- it definitely suits her. However, on the lids, you could also use a bronze eye liner that would reflect light instead of a black or brown eye liner. L'Oreal's HIP eyeliner in Gold Kohl would be a fantastic choice as well.

All of these colour choices are universally flattering, so don't be afraid to try them out this summer!

Sonam Kapoor's Makeup Look

Sonam Kapoor had one of the most magical and promising launches into the Hindi film industry, being cast as the lead heroine in director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's much-anticipated film Saawariya. Though the film has been criticized by many, Sonam Kapoor continues to enchant us with her wit, charm and natural beauty. Here is a classic look that enhances Sonam's natural beauty.

On the face:

Use a moisturizer and primer onto the face to create an overall smooth finish. Then apply a foundation and concealer to match your skin tone.

On the eyes:

1. Start by patting a primer for the eye lids, such as MAC's Painterly Paintpot, using your fingers. The warmth from your fingers should allow for an even application.

2. Pat a translucent powder over the entire lid.

3. Using MAC's Mineralize Eyeshadow Duo in Heat/Element is a great way to get two complimentary colours in one pot. Gently pat a light neutral colour such as MAC's e/s in Shroom all over the entire lid, past the crease.

4. Using the Mineralize e/s Duo, place Element (the darker, rusty brown shade) on the outer third of your lid, placing the colour from the lash line, just past the crease. Use "half" windshield wiper motions going back and forth to properly blend the colour. (Tip: Use MAC's brush #224- Tapered Blending Brush)

5. Using Heat (the lighter golden shade), place on the brow bone, inner part of lid up to the tear duct. This brightens up the eye and makes you look refreshed. Blend just above the upper crease to avoid any harsh lines.

6. Using a dark brown pencil eye liner, use small strokes to line the entire upper lash line as well as the entire water line (the inner white part of your lower lashes). Follow by two coats of mascara on upper and lower lashes.

On the cheeks:

1. After using a pressed powder for coverage, spray MAC's Fix + over the face. Then apply MAC's Mineralize Blush Duo in Moon River on the apples of the cheeks. Use concentric circles over the apples to blend evenly.

2. For that dewy glow, spray Fix + again over cheeks (even using Duo Fibre brush to stipple on). Then using an angled blush brush, apply a highlighter just above the cheekbone and temples.

On the lips:

1. For this look, avoid using a lip liner to define the lips- it only ages your face. Instead, use a lipstick such as MAC's Viva Glam V Lipstick and matching lip glass.

Rani's Gold and Bronze Bridal Makeup Look

This is a super-stunning bridal makeup look. What's not to love about Rani Mukherjee's makeup? It's elegant and dramatic, without being over-the-top. The use of neutral golds and browns compliment her eye colour and add warmth to her skin, making it appear to glow.

Here are a list of eye products that I believe will allow you to recreate Rani's gorgeous, golden eye.

1. MAC's paintpot in Rubenesque

2. MAC's Style Warrior e/s in Tempting (on the crease and to line the eyes if wet)

3. MAC's e/s in Romp (chocolate laced with gold colour) on the lid up to the crease.

4. MAC's e/s in Woodwinked along the crease (layer on top of Romp along the outer 1/4 of the lid)

Deepika's Amethyst-Espresso Look

Deepika Padukone is rocking sultry eye makeup that works on both the catwalk and the sidewalk- her mix of purple and brown shadows create a smoky, simple to achieve look.
For the Eyes:
1. Pat MAC's Paintpot in Rubenesque all over the lid just past the crease.
2. Pat a purpley-pink shade of eyeshadow, such as MAC's Plum Dressing all over the lid, upto the crease.
3. Using MAC's #224 tapered blending brush, apply a soft shimmery brown such as MAC's Style Warrior eyeshadow in Night Manoeuvres. Remember to blend well by using the windshield wiper motion (back and forth).
4. Carefully pat a pinkish gold shadow, such as MAC's e/s in Expensive Pink to the centre of the eyelid to add extra sparkle to the eye.
5. Apply a neutral shade such as MAC's eyeshadow in Yogurt onto the brow bone and the close to the tear duct (inner corner) to further brighten the eye area.
6. Finish with at least two coats of lash thickening mascara.
For a sun-kissed glow: Use a bronzer on top of your blush to add the correct amount of warmth to your face.

Aishwarya's Pretty Lip Gloss

Hi BMW's- it has been a while since I've last written a post, but here it is...a gorgeous pink lip gloss effect that (I feel) is universally flattering because it is sheer and adds a hint of colour to your lips.

Since I've started high school, I've always been crazy about makeup. I love experimenting with different colours. However, one lip gloss I have not been able to live without for over 14 years is Clinique's Lip Gloss in Air Kiss.

All of Clinique's glosses are smooth and not thick and sticky. This gloss is sheer but still provides enough shimmer to make it seem special. Air Kiss is such a gorgeous colour that it only enhances the colour of your lip. I thought that this picture of Aishwarya Rai was a good representation of what the colour would look like on her. It looks different on different women (obviously it depends on the amount of pigment you have on your lip). Like I said earlier, this is a great colour for any woman to wear.

Get that J-Lo Glow!!!

Even though Celina Jaitley's makeup looks a bit cakey in this picture, it's suitable for the stage or the big screen. However, when you want full coverage for every day use without a cakey, overly powdery finish, using a makeup setting spray such as MAC's Fix + is ideal.
MAC Fix + is a water-based spray full of vitamins and minerals, which soothe the face and provide moisture. You can simply spritz on this mist onto the face directly. This will ensure that when you hug someone or rub up against any surface, your makeup will be less likely to rub off.
One trick I like to use in order to save more product is to simply spray Fix + directly on to my MAC 187 Duo Fibre Face Brush. I then "stipple" the product all over my face and blend in circular motions. Right away you get a more natural finish, but with the proper coverage.

Best Makeup Advice: Less is More!

I don't know what Shilpa Shetty was thinking when she hired her makeup artist, but she should have definitely taken a look in the mirror. Shilpa Shetty, who normally glows and looks flawless, youthful and fresh, looks like an out of work drag queen.

Shilpa- lose the garish eye makeup, overdone contour/blush and please don't wear kabuki white makeup- you're not fooling anyone into thinking you're Snow White. So please, spare us all and chisel that makeup right off. Didn't your mama tell you- less is more?

How to Glow Using Perfectly Peachy Makeup

Madhuri Dixit-Nene has the most captivating smile in the entire industry. So it's not surprising to want to copy Mads' fresh peachy look.

Here are a few amazing colours that are universally flattering, that will also allow you to recreate Madhuri's makeup.

On the eyes:

1. MAC's Goldbit e/s is absolutely perfect, but it has been discontinued, so a colour close to this would be MAC's Naked Lunch. Sweep this colour over the entire lid.

2. Line the upper lashes with a dark brown pencil, such as MAC's eye pencil in Coffee. Smudge more liner on the lower lash line using a cutip.

3. Finish off with 2 coats of mascara after curling eyelashes. (Tip: Once again, the best eyelash curler on the market has to be by Shiseido).

On the face:

1. Even out your skin by using a primer for the face so that your makeup will have a smoother finish. A primer with flawless results is Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer, or Make Up For Ever's HD Microperfecting Primer (both are available at Sephora).

2. Use a lightweight foundation as close to your skin colour as possible.

3. Place MAC's Mineralize Blush in Dainty on the apples of the cheeks in small circular motions using MAC's #116 Blush Brush.

(Mineralize Blush Tip: With mineralize blushes, the more you "buff" them onto your cheeks with a blush brush, the more vivid the colour appears!)

On the Lips:

1. Apply MAC's Velvet Teddy lipstick all over the lip.

2. Apply MAC's Dazzleglass Lip gloss in Bare Necessity (Note: this colour was a limited edition, but has just come back permanently this week!)

Colourful Koko!

Out of all of the Bollywood actresses, Konkona Sen Sharma (aka Koko) is one of the most talented actresses to ever grace the screens. This 29-year old actress has received two National Awards as a Best Supporting Actress in Omkara (2006) and Life in a...Metro (2007).

On the carpet, Koko keeps it traditional with saris and churidars and tends to gravitate towards metallics and jewel tones, which make her skin look radiant.

In this pictures, it's all about the eyes! Here are a few products that you can try to achieve a similar look:

1. Try MAC's Rubenesque Paint Pot (a beautiful golden peach) all over the lid. I like to use my fingers.

2. MAC's Dame Edna: Royal Tour Eye Trio (Limited Edition) is not only perfect for this look, it also has Dame Edna's iconic frames on the front of the compact in red glitter. How glam!

The colours are (from left to right): Dame's Desire, Climate Blue and Royal Tour.

First, apply "Royal Tour" e/s using MAC's #231 Small Shader Brush in small upward strokes from the upper lash line, a 1/4 of the way up to the crease. (Tip: Wet the brush a tiny amount to create a more saturated colour on the lid).

Then, go over "Royal Tour" e/s with "Climate Blue" e/s using the same technique. Next, place "Climate Blue" on the lower lash line (use excess eye shadow from upper lash line) using MAC's #263 Small Angled Brush.

After that, apply black liner such as MAC's Technakohl liner in Graphblack, as close to the upper lash line as possible and in the water line. (Tip: For a slightly smoky look, smudge out the edges using the tip of a cotton ball).

Finally, add two coats of the blackest mascara to both upper and lower lashes. Voila!

Lara Dutta's Sultry Summer Look

Crowned Miss Universe in 2000, and working in the Bollywood film industry for over 7 years, Lara Dutta is no stranger to the limelight. As one of Bollywood's up and coming actresses, Lara is not afraid of playing with her makeup.
This look is not only sultry and sexy but it's pretty simple to replicate. You only need a few good products (I'm always a MAC fan, but you can use whatever products you like to achieve a similar look.

For the face:
1. Lara uses a full-coverage foundation but still keeps skin dewy, not matte (key for a fresh summer look). Try using MAC's Mineralize Satinfinish SPF 15 Foundation. Lara's colour would be NW35.

2. Lara applied bronzer to the outside perimeter of her face, as well as to her cheekbones in order to add colour and contour simultaneously. MAC's Bronzing Powder in Refined Gold would bring out Lara's glow beautifully.

3. Apply a misting of MAC's Fix + Spray onto MAC's Duo Fibre brush. Speckle onto face and then blend in to create a natural, flawless finish to the skin.

4. Add MAC's Mineralize Skinfinish in Refined as a highlighter on cheekbones and along the brow bone.
For the eyes:

1. Prime eyes with MAC's Rubinesque Paintpot all over lid (primer).

2. A good eyeshadow duo with the perfect amount of natural shimmer is MAC's Mineralize Eye Shadow (Duo) in Heat/Element (right). Place the lighter colour all over entire lid, going past the crease. Apply the lighter colour in the inner tear duct of the eye. Place the darker colour along the crease line using windshield wiper motions.

(Tip: This shadow's intensity varies depending on the amount of product you apply. For a sheerer, more natural look, apply less, and for a more dramatic look, pat more eyeshadow onto the lid.)

3. Black liner is a must, so go with a waterproof version to avoid running and smudging in the warm summer months. A great product to try is MAC's Powerpoint Eye Pencil in Engraved. These pencils come in a shimmer, metallic or matte finish as well, so you can experiment and have fun with them. Place eyeliner on upper lash line (as close to the lashes as possible) and on the inner water line of your bottom lashes.

4. Finish with two coats of black mascara. One of the best new products to hit the market is Rimmel's Sexy Curves Mascara in Black. This mascara both volumizes and curls eyelashes. Many South Asian and Hispanic women have incredibly long, but straight lashes. In order to make the most of our lashes, it's important to curl them. By wiggling the brush on the underside of your lashes, you create instant volume and lift that lasts for a long time.

For the lips:

1. MAC's Capricious Lipstick is the perfect, wearable red lip colour with a sheer finish. Another option that is closer to Lara's lip colour is MAC's X-S lipstick. It's a rich reddish brown colour that suits all warm skin tones.

2. Blot MAC's Bronze Shimmer Lipstick on the centre of the lower lip to add shimmer and dimension.

Please tame those caterpillars!

There's no better way to give yourself a quick "face-lift" than a great pair of well-groomed eyebrows. Unfortunately for Kajol, one of Bollywood's favourite actresses, she refuses to pluck, wax, tweeze or thread her bushy brows because the process is painful. Well, Kajol should suck it up and do something fast because it's definitely more painful and distracting to look at those things. Kajol is an incredibly gifted actress and has beautiful green eyes. A lot of her beauty is hidden behind that unibrow.

I don't want to say this to be cruel, but I just want to say that as a young Indian woman, I feel that it's our moral obligation to tame our unruly brows (or any other bit of facial hair), since we have been blessed with such thick ones.

Check out Karishma Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor's sister and Bollywood alum. When she started acting, her brows were significantly larger and also distracting from her other delicate features. However, once she drastically changed her eyebrow shape (taking off about 3/4 of her original eyebrows) with the help of makeup artist Mickey Contracter, she quickly become a beauty icon. Look at some of those before/after pictures to see just what an improvement a well-groomed brow can do.

BEFORE & AFTER:

There are some great products on the market right now to help you achieve a perfectly sculpted eyebrow without spending oodles of money on monthly eyebrow grooming appointments. However, it's also worth investing in a professional eyebrow shaping and maintaining that shape with the right products.

Eyebrow maven Anastasia, created her best-selling All About Brows Kit, which can be bought online or through Sephora. Anastasia put together everything in this kit that you could possibly need to maintain salon brows at home. What I love is that there are four different brow stencils that you can use to achieve a symmetrical look that suits your face. Anastasia's tweezers are also perfect to get those tiny hairs that are so hard to remove. Plus, the brow powder duo comes in a variety of shades to best suit your hair colour. I also love the brow gel used to tame the most unruly brows.

Amazing Skin That's Affordable!!!

Makeup is fun to play and experiment with and is meant to enhance a woman's natural beauty. However, if skin isn't taken care of properly, it doesn't matter what we put on our faces, we won't get the best results. The best piece of beauty advice I received was to always take off my makeup. It prevents future breakouts, blackheads and scarring.
As your Bollywood Makeup Whiz (BMW), I'd love to share some great skin-care products that I absolutely love! Since I'm a product junkie, I've tried almost everything and I've noticed that the best results aren't always reached with the most expensive products. Here are some amazing skin-care products on a beauty budget!

For the eyes:

Since I love playing up my eyes with makeup, there's a lot that I need to take off and not a lot of products have successfully taken off ALL of my makeup. After much experimenting, I found that Olay's Mascara + Make-up Remover is a life saver. You can use it as an all-over makeup remover, but I simply use a cotton ball and squirt a dime-size amount per eye. After carefully rubbing the eye area in small circles all of my eye makeup is removed (even the hard to remove waterproof kind)!

Cleansing:

I then cleanse my skin with a beautiful smelling, gentle cleanser- St. Ives' Olive Cleanser. This is a fabulous product that is also easy on the budget and- most importantly it cleanses the skin thoroughly without stripping all of the skin's natural oils. My skin doesn't feel tight or dry,

plus it smells divine!

Exfoliating:

There's a general rule of thumb that you should not exfoliate more than 3 times a week. However, it does depend on the product. Some facial scrubs can tear gentle skin on the face because they are too harsh- these scrubs should 'never' be used. However, a great, gentle scrub that I like to use everyday is Biore's Pore Unclogging Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin. This is an affordable product, it smells wonderful and most importantly it leaves skin feeling smooth. Every week, I add a little bit of granulated sugar and mix it together with this scrub for an extra deep exfoliant. If you exfoliate regularly, it helps declog pores, makes skin glow and makes your makeup look smooth and flawless. Isn't that what every girl wants?

Toner:
I have to admit- I don't always use this step, but it is important to make sure that all of your makeup is removed. Caryl Baker Visage has an amazing Citrus Toner that feels so wonderful on the skin. This is the only slightly pricier item at $27 for a 250ml bottle, but a little goes a long way.

Moisturize:

I find that moisturizers are so individual that there's no one product that's universally usable. However, that's a whole other topic...

In the meantime, enjoy your makeup and remember to take care of your skin now- it'll thank you later!

They don't call it "Cover Girl" for nothing!

Kareena Kapoor is definitely on the "hot" list at the moment! This gorgeous 28-year old star is part of Bollywood royalty- her grandfather is the late Raj Kapoor, her father is actor Ranbir Kapoor and mother is retired actress Babita. Plus, her older sister Karishma Kapoor has been acting in films for over 15 years. Did I forget to mention that Kareena is dating the hottest guy in Bollywood- Saif Ali Khan? Kareena is definitely on cloud nine these days and it's not just thanks to her rocking career or love life- it's thanks to the right makeup products.
As you can clearly see, Kareena has (thankfully) made some beauty decisions. A lot of the compliments she has been receiving on her great looks are due to a little thing called bronzer, the right concealer, eye liner, fake lashes and of course a good night's sleep.
Here are a few tricks that Kareena used to enhance her looks and a few products that might do the trick for you too!

For the skin:

Notice the large areas of redness all around Kareena's face (in her cheeks, on her chin and nose) as well as the pigmentation under her eyes? One of my most favourite beauty indulgences helps correct these problems with one palette- Makeup For Ever's Camouflage Cream Palette.

Kareena would use Palette #1 (N1) for her skin tone. The green colour (on the extreme right) is to be used to counteract any redness. The fourth colour (with a large amount of peach pigment) is perfect for dark under eye circles when used with a concealer brush such as MAC's concealer brush #242 . As a South Asian girl, I have looked everywhere for the right coverage concealer and this is by far the best product that I have found to even out my skin tone without that heavy, cakey feel or look. Makeup For Ever's Camouflage Cream Palette in No. 1 is good for fair skin, but there are other palettes for medium (No. 2) and darker complexions (No.3) as seen below. Just so you know, you can buy individual concealer pots directly at the Makeup For Ever counter or at Sephora. This way you can avoid buying unnecessary products that you will not use.
Bollywood Makeup Whiz (BMW) Tips:
* This Camouflage palette has best results when it is applied before your foundation. Usually, many women make the mistake of applying their concealer first and then wiping away all of the coverage by adding foundation. However, this product is an exception- by adding this product first to the face, you still get full coverage but you notice a lighter texture.
* Always set your concealer and/or foundation with a light dusting of translucent powder. This will set your makeup and avoid any rub-offs. Dusting translucent powder throughout the day keeps your look fresh.
